Taiwan Trip Part 2

3rd Day - XMD
Ok again we woke up at 12plus - it's getting more horrible each day! We went to XMD - Watami for Japanese lunch =)

Eating ice-cream in the cold weather is REALLY FREEZING.


On our way back, I tell u it's one hell of a freaking COLD! We were shivering - I bet it was like 0 degree!

Proceeded to Mirama Shopping Centre for the Ferris World - u guys watch 'HUAN HUAN AI'?? by Xiao Mei and Yang Chen Lin?? They shot the film in this mall. I'm so happy to go there coz this is my fav show as at now!




Seriously, I didn't know Eric is afraid of heights! He really freaked out during the whole ride and he was traumarised the day before at Taipei 101 and nw again..

After the whole day, we went for steamboat near our hotel at XMD. Their steamboat is different from ours - they will fry the meat, vege etc in the big pot first with a BIG bowl of oil. After a while, they will pour the soup base in. We were deeply CONCERNED of the oily soup as we were not drinking chicken soup but oil soup - so nauseatng. Hence we only eat the food without drinking the soup.

Taiwan 5th Dec to 9th Dec 2007

Hi guys, I m blogging at Law's plc right now while waiting for the guys to turn up at the same time watching Star Awards (ahh! Fann Wong - Muacks!) so I guess now is the best time to blog since most of our Taiwan pics are with him! This is my first holiday trip with my Sec pals. Have been hanging around with them for 13yrs. Cool! Of course, we cracked so many boliao jokes during the trip and it was laughing, bull-shitting, and disturbing one another - testing our patience. We created so much havoc and hence told the locals that we are from Cambodia Wahahahaha =P and Eric is from Afganistan - Hilarious! Everyday we set off at 12plus, went for lunch and just freaking walked and walked! We were always reminding ourselves we need to wake up early to capture more places but we always failed! Well, holiday is supposed to be lazing isn't it?? keke.

Changi Airport - See my 'pinkie??' The guys were teasing if I m gg overseas to STUDY coz my luggage is damn big! Ah! When we came back, I had no prob packing my luggage unlike them! Who's the smartest??
It was pouring when we departed and the turbulence scared the hell out of me. For the 1st time, I felt nauseous - AIR SICK - on a plane!

I was welcomed by F4! My fav! I like all of them except the 'Ken Pig! My fav is Zai =)

After touching down, the first stop is foot massage while we waited for Eric who came on the next flight from Vietnem. Too bad their standard is no gd =(
Then it was the beginning of our eating quest! The stink beancurd was a disaster - yucks! Never never take that again!




2nd Day! 6th Dec 2007

Our rooms were adjacent to each other with a door in between so we just left it open - connected. Unfortunately, we gotta share a toilet, gd thg the guys didn't take long except for Law who was ALWAYS shitting!

This is Taipei's wealth management centre - which is only one cubicle.
Eric changing money! Their bank is like an office - so open! Everyone can hear everyone talking.

1st stop - Taipei 101. Was so funny - Law and me kept on saying Beijing 101 - WL - It wasn't on purpose but I guess we saw and heard the ad umpteen times till we got it all mixed up!

After 'Wu Feng Pu' we went to Raohe night mkt. Ate a lot of 'funny' food!

Festive Season!

Hi guys, been some time since I blogged =P .. laziness got the better of me! Anyway I'm just back from Taiwan. That explains my big fat body! Haiz, it was a merely 5-day trip. Bo bien coz this time I went with Law and the guys. They did nthg but eat. Guys! I swear this was an 'eating trip'! You guys shld know food is everywhere in Taipei esp the night markets. We went to so many night mkts - Shihlin, Raohe, Tong Hua, Long San Si.. Gosh! Eat non-stop! However, this was also the cheapest trip I had so far - I only spent a mere $500! Yeah! I shall post up the pix later on as I don't have a card reader. Nonetheless, I like Taiwan though it's somewhat similar to Hong Kong minus the extremely buzzling city. Taiwan gives me a more relaxed kinda feeling and the ppl there are most polite =) Yeah one thg! I saw celebrities there! First day at the Tao Yuan Airport, I saw Wu Qi Xian - but who cares!?! Next day, I saw my M'sia aunt and cousins twice at Taipei 101 and near Wu Feng Pu. On the last night, I saw Kelly Chen at Tong Hua night market and I walked with her for a distance before being 'called back' by EK. Sux! On the trip back, Gurmit was on the same plane as me =P I will share more when I got the pics! I m having serious itch after my trip. It acts up at night esp. I m scratching like hell EVERY PART of my body even until NOW. What the hell is going on??

Now for my latest developments. I m now officially at Raffles Plc br. I miss Parkway. I went back twice for apptm and duh... Anyway, 'Change is the only constant, Good or bad the show must go on'! This bank really stresses me out - during my leave, I went back a few times to clear o/s and prepare for apptm. The bosses are really breathing down my neck. How long more can I take this? A break is not a break anymore. This is the last straw.

X'mas is nearing. My first X'mas party was held last Sunday at Gina's plc. It was fun! Esp with Jewel and Zav keke! Unfortunately I can't copy and paste from Eileen's blog those pix - why huh??? I got a cute lamp - I like! The steamboat was sumptuous - so many food. Oh yah, we were watching Star Awards tgt too. For such awards, it's fun to watch in big group coz u know why? We bitch, gossip and exchange news haha. We will also ENTHUSIASTICALLY show our support for those stars we like by RAISING our voice haha. For e.g Fann Wong YEAH!!! and also feel 'Na Men' when Desmond Koh and the 'Michael Jackson look-alike' got into Top 10! WTF!

Just had steamboat at hm - full until now. Worse still, opened a bottle of Hoegarden to drink, now totally bloated but this helps to aid my sleep later on as for the past 1 week, I had insomnia. Usually, I would just doze off once I got into bed but last week my eyes were still wide open in the wee hours even though I woke up early. Had Tom Yam steamboat at Parkway yesterday also. I fleeced this meal out of my CSR haha. She just gotten AWS but sales ppl don't have!! Kaoz! I miss disturbing her seriously - calling her Ah Pui. She also calls me this EVERYTIME but Im fatter lah. I will always go to her counter - pull her hair, squeeze her, share her chair, insult her. Argh! That's my forte! Good thing one of my best ROs followed us to Raffles Plc. My prey! keke.

Last Tue, had breakfast and lunch with 2 respective cx. Didn't know the 'breakfast' cx would get me an X'mas gift, so sweet! A bottle of red wine - quite exp also. I only gotten her a box of Merci choco. Paiseh. The 'lunch' cx treated me to Jap food - Waruku at East Coast. I didn't get him any gift. So on Wed, when I met another cx, I gotten them a bottle of Yomeishu. They were delighted. Good thing I did coz this set of cx always gives me business - they don't approach other bankers at all. Phew! So touched by them - to be honest, such nice cxs keep me gg whenever I thought of really getting out of this industry. I would think they will be disappointed coz they always say our turnover is very high, it's very difficult for them to trust us with big sums of money and finally when they did, their bankers left yet again.

Tomorrow I'll be having X'mas gathering with the girls. Our definite yearly event. Be it CNY, X'mas, birthdays, V'day whatever whatever, we will always have it tgt! 9 years already and next yr June, we are going to have a GRAND celebration to mark down our decade old friendship. The ICs are already starting to plan it NOW - notice its significance?? haha. Then Sat, I will be gg to an ex-RO's hse (Parkway) for party. After that, we will have a KTV session as usual. Then on Sunday, church starts at 9am at Indoor Stadium, after that I'll be gg to Law's plc for X'mas party!! Hope this X'mas will be fun =)

Teambuilding at Yishun Safra

It has been freaking ages since I really really did STRENEOUS exercise! I mean really horribly tough exercise! 24th Dec 2007 was when Parkway Team needs to go for Teambuilding. I thought it was a piece of cake just some hiking and games playing BUT NO!!! We were machiam doing obstacle course lor!! Look at the pix!!













The first obstacle was easy. We just hoped onto a rope and swung across like a tarzen. We had to land on a carton and no one was supposed to fall off it. Never did I imagine this was juz a warm-up! The killer was the 2nd one! We had to climb up the steps like 4-5 storey up to a 'lighthouse look-alike' after which there were 4 obstacles to cross. I don't have a phobia for heights hence it's ok BUT I got not much of a strength though I LOOK TOUGH and BIG! After being dressed like an astronaut and wearing that helmet which after I wore it, my colli said I look like a mushroom (by MSG), I was already exhausted and sweating like hell! The first obstacle was easy. We had to walk across the planks while holding onto the ropes. It gets tougher as we move on. The second obstacle was to walk on 2 ropes and holding onto the ropes. This requires more balancing and when the wind blows, you will literally sway! Still Ok! I tell you KNN the killer was the 3rd one! Halfway through this 3rd obstacle, I really felt like letting go and just allow myself to fall off!! Then pack up, go hm and freaking sleep!! We had to be HALF SQUAT, moved sideway while holding onto 2 ropes again! You know how straining it was on my thighs!! I literally sat onto the planks halfway through to REST! Then the wind kept blowing and blowing, I was like dancing in midair!! I really wanted to cry and fuck off! I sat there to rest for like 10min lor! I prayed damn hard that I can suddenly be at the finishing end! However, I persevere haha! Very drama! coz I was thinking if the rest can do it, why can't I??? I am not so fat and clumsy one ok! Finally, I pulled through! I bruised myself horribly coz of the ropes coz I rest my arms onto them. The 4th one was another KNN! We had to walk on 2 ropes while holding onto ropes but this time the ropes were not horizontally laid firmly but vertically hanging so again I was dancing in midair! I was really really gonna be blew off balance but really thank GOD I didn't! I pulled through again. When I landed, I was speechless. Too freaking exhausted! I rather run up and down the stairs 100 times then to go through the 3rd obstacle again!

That 'little girl - MSG' was really like a monkey manz! Swift and no sweat - see already freaking angry! That 'Ah Pui' I always see her like a piece of spongbob though she is 'Patrick' but she is really tough manz -also a monkey - a bigger size one! haha. The rest like 'Ah Dai' and NPK though never exercise also can make it - impressive! Poor SL really gana blew off balance. Poor Cho-Le who got phobia for heights turned pale but nonetheless she completed all - Steady! PMT - no need to comment, she is a cheerleader - no exercise is tough for her!

The last stop we went to was rock climbing. This is ok lah! I did the tougher one some more but still no sweat :) Actually some of the rocks were like stones lor - so small make ppl slide off! Fun!

Overall, I'm glad I went to this teambuilding coz I really enjoy hanging out with my br ppl esp in this kinda outdoor activities made everythg even more fun. Think coz all of us are really young ppl hence more spontaneous and onz! We cheered for each other, gave names for each other! Very fun! I heard my nickname being called so many times while across the opposite side struggling to slide though the obstacles which is 'AH FAT AH FAT, hurry up hurry up!' (by Ah Pui) haha Pot calling kettle black. Of coz I also teased ppl with nonsensical nicknames coz this is my forte!

My boss was also funny! You know he's short and when he dressed up in sportswear, he's machiam like a student. Then all of us were teasing him - 'How's your JC results??' haha. He cheered us on whenever we were done with an obstacle by humming the 'Super Mario' music coz we were always playing with our DS Lite at work!

The following Mon - all of us had difficulty raising our arms. The tellers more poor thg coz they need to count cash! haha. We could not even walk down the steps properly. Everybody was like fragile and 'untouchable'! Hilarious!
