The word - 'IMPACT'

I have a gd friend who super inspires me. He's doing well, same age as me, distributor earning 5-figure pay a mth. Recently he met with some problems with the mgmt in his office and thought of leaving the biz. Surprising, however not alarming coz he's one who thinks thru before making any decision. We have mutual understanding and frequency; he knows what's gd for him, needless for me to say more.

So, he's thinking of many alternatives. However, he told me in whatever he will do in future, he wants to impact ppl's lives. As simple as this sentence may sound to many (infact it may even sound cliche to thousands of ppl out there), it isn't to me at all and I truly believe him. We have been hanging ard each other's lives for more than a decade, and this is the kind of trust I have in him. He's always garnering my respect.

Well, this 'impact ppl's lives' sentence is thought provoking for me. It leaves me thinking deep. Have I ever impacted ppl's lives?

A few days ago, my colleague chatted with me just before Benny Hinn's service. He asked me what do I see myself progressing into in my job. I merely mentioned sales or analytical work, but not mgmt roles, as I hate looking after ppl. Straightaway, he said, "Then how are you gg to impact ppl, isn't this what we are heading for? To impact ppl's lives? The only way to reach out to ppl is to be a leader." I was struck dumb.

From these 2 instances, I know I still have a lot to learn. Way to go!
