Everything In Its Time
Written by Corrinne May Ying Foo & Carole Bayer SagerCopyright 2001 Corrmay Gourmet Music (ASCAP) / All About Me Music adm. by Warner Tamerlane Publishing Corp. (BMI)

Sometimes I wonder what lies ahead
How long till my hunger is fed
They say it's hard to make it in this part of town
So many people on this merry-go-round

Some folks try astrology
Some turn to crystal balls
To find an answer,
To get through it all
I just fall on my knees and I try to pray
In the silence I can hear Him say

The river runs and the river hides
Out to the ocean and under the sky
I promise you, the answer will come
Hold on to patience and watch for the sign
Everything in its time

I often feel like I'm two steps behind
Somebody must have moved that finish line
There are a thousand reasons
Why I should give up
But I'm stubborn in the things I believe

The river runs and the river hides
Out to the ocean and under the sky
I promise you, the answer will come
Hold on to patience and watch for the sign

'cause maybe there's another plan
One I still can't see
A little surprise, like your love in my life
Funny how time changes how we see

The river runs and the river hides
Out to the ocean and under the sky
I promise you, the answer will come
Hold on to patience and watch for the sign
Everything in its time
Everything in its time

A leap of faith...

I'm a sucker for romance stories or literature. I'm currently in love with this plain, simple love story.. no exaggerations, no upheavals, no embellishment. Thank you, Dr Catherine Lim - I'm convinced by your 'reassuring conclusion that romance is alive and well in everyone, regardless of age or background'.

'A saint once decreed that a man must agree to a woman's proposal today' - that's how the love story started.. the Irish tradition of February 29. It takes a little craziness of the protagonist to write this poem to a stranger and awaits a sign from him whether to meet at 8pm at the same place he sits and fulfils the tradition. As the adrenaline really starts pumping, with a sound of the horn, the promise is sealed in the middle of the road.

'It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves' - William Shakespear

I agree with neither. I believe in God's doing.

'Coincidence is God's way of remaining anonymous' - Albert Einstein

As the first date ends with a tinge of uncertainty and excitement, they take a leap of faith to meet on every February 29th. As every love story will have it, the lovers are destined to be separated by unspoken hurdles. The protagonist chooses to take the easy way out almost conveniently marrying a 'along came Raymond'. However, as cliche as it may sound - 'A person often meets his destiny on the road he took to avoid it' - Jean de la Fontaine

The wedding is never completed with 'along came Raymond'. As God's plan is perfect, there is never a 'by the way' kind of event that happens in a person's life. The tradition has to be kept alive. It is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.

I like this phrase especially..
'If you are not too long, I will wait for you all my life' - Oscar Wilde
Notice it's an oxymoron? A lifetime is all a person has. Even if it costs that person a lifetime to wait, it's never too long. Beautiful..

I am truly intrigued by this love story. Some regrets though.. I think the characters can be spiced up further. Like Jeremy, I can't really feel his emotions bottling up and his dismay having to leave Li Ann, and likewise vice versa for Li Ann. It's too snapshot. The inner feelings of Jeremy and Li Ann can be used to stir up audiences' emotions even greater. Good thing the general idea of this story is self-explainatory. Kim, Suneetha, Jennie - I think they are great comic relief. They are sexy, witty and have totally contrasting love stories that can help to bring out the charm and beauty of Li Ann's. Audiences will be attracted by their random witty, naughty dialogues. Finally K.S, this character does not do enough love-foolish-acts to reflect his affection towards Li Ann.

Overall, the story is appealing. It is able to arouse interest and anticipation.

'In three words, I can sum up everything I've learnt about life: it goes on.' - Robert Frost

Random updates..

The whole new saga abt Edison is infusing into my clique's everyday life - WE ARE JUST PLAIN KPO. Are we sadist to be honest? Everyday we are digging out updates; hoping for some hot, sensational news to wrap up in again; like who's the new victim, which starlet is the video protagonist etc. Coupled with the fact I can't surf net in br, I need my fellow comrades to update me with the LATEST! Thanks to the Papparazzi Club ~~! Yes! Correct! Is you - whoever is in the email chain. Seriously after this whole saga, nobody is gg to remember Gil or Cec's pubic hair honestly. This is the showbiz - now Edison is just letting the 'unknown and well-kept-under' surfacing onto the shore. Think abt Jacky, Aaron and Carina - 还是一条好汉 ;) Just some new discoveries - Edison likes photography, Gil was 'deflowered' at a tender age, and Cec is quite the same. So what if Gil has proclaimed before she opposed premarital sex - we will just 'WTF' and then get on with our freaking life with me feeling a little bit more disturbed and nauseous than the rest coz I like TWINS. The ENTERTAINMENT industry sure gets us disturbingly entertained.

Now my 2nd nephew will be celebrating his full mth this Sunday. It's gonna be 普天同庆. haha.

We are halfway through CNY already - do you feel anythg or somethg exceptional and exciting? I seriously can't. I just wish that Singapore can be more 'Chinese' and traditional so we can enjoy longer holidays like China. 2 days of CNY public holidays are an insult to the great chinese tradition in the entire chinese community. Imagine this year they don't fall on Thurs and Fri?!?!?! Think abt your probable reactions - and... most likely you will agree with the sentence above.

I can never catch up on my sleep! Do you guys think if I sleep for 3 days 3 nights - will that help? or 7 days 7 nights? Freak - I'm just plain lazy. Nthg gets me moving nw.

Work wise - I am tired. Targets are higher and I can't seem to achieve and I can't think of what other things I can do. So I'm juz living by the day and hoping for a miracle to happen. Yes, correct I am passive, I am a loser and I wait for thgs to happen. Boss always says 'you must make thgs happen for you and nt the other way round' - I totally shut off. The art of trust and patience is a painful subject.

It has been 3 years since someone sent me flowers on V'day; ever since I work in a bank. Somethg is really wrong somewhere. I mean from guys coz I did receive flowers from Joline on my b'day and Genie on my first day in the current bank. Do you guys think I shld become a lesbian? I have girls wanting to be intimate with me noe.. haha. Don't understand why - abit gross. ...but I won't lah haha. I love men; hot men; nice men. The most recent: 'ABC' guy. If only the 'ABC' guy is more eligible.. he is 33 but his whole package is like 40. How can I take it?? I am 27 but my whole package is like 23 ;P I am not picky, I just hate to act interested. Some signs are surfacing right before my eyes.. I wonder if it is GOD signaling or hinting to me ...preparing me to be a spinster. haha as I 'pen' this down, I find it funny too.. wahahahaha. You guys know why?? The probability is just there. I am meeting and seeing singles EVERYWHERE. My workplace, my cousins, my customers - so many are unmarried and I tell you - they are not ugly and stupid! Whenever someone told me they are single, my heart just sank haha really true. I will be thinking - knn.. one more.. I will be joining them soon. CB.
