Ways to Eliminate Depressing Mood..
My fren wants me to write on the above topic coz she is feeling rather negative recently. I know what she is going through. Given her character - she is a joyful person, she wants to see the ppl around her prosper and cheerful together with her. She won't want to be a waterfall when all her friends are streams and rivers (this is what I think of her at least). She would be happy to excel but I'm sure she would be even HAPPIER that her friends excel together with her! - 1st remedy: Love yourself more then! One person responsible for one life :P
My fren has also made worrying her way of life. Worry about the yet-to-happen stuff. It is true that people worry about the unknown, about the uncertainty. When this 'ailment' strikes, we can only encourage ourselves that when that situation finally comes, we will have ample time to worry. Leave the worrying to that time at that circumstance; when you are at that situation already, you will realize that thg are not that bad, and everythg will still be under ur control. This happens most of the time, as when we worry, we tend to enlarge the worst case scenario. Humans are pessimist by nature. - 2nd remedy: Love yourself more again! Things happen with or without you worrying.
My friend is also experiencing quarter-life career crisis. This is the lull period. Working is basically a learning curve. You learn the ropes, you manoevre through, you excel, you get tired, you have no motivation, because this job no longer excites you. You begin searching for a deeper, meaningful purpose in what you are doing. What I can say is that don't focus on the nitty gritty details in what you are doing now - like what you are working as, ur environment, ur job scope, ur colleagues, industry etc.. You will bound to move out and move on. You will know it when the time comes ~ Holy spirits (angels) will tell you or what people label as Human Basic Intuition. Instead focus on the big picture - what you ultimately want to become, in person and in character. For instance, super career woman heading an MNC, lady boss in a theme restaurant, tai-tai having high tea with friends etc? OR be your own boss, work for family, stay at hm and take care of family etc? Just agar agar know what you want. VISUALISE! The rest are details and faith. - 3rd Remedy: Love yourself again a little bit more! When GOD wants to prosper you, do you think you can dodge?
So, in conclusion, love yourself and it is A CHOICE.
Other tips to reducing depressing mood:
1. Talk nonsense and irritate people
2. Tell cold jokes or riddles to people e.g. which milk (Gu Ni) can't people drink? Karang Guni
3. Laugh at irritated facial expressions
4. Gossip and bitch to pour out inner frustrations
5. Scold vulgarities coz sometimes only these words can truly describe your frustrations
6. Tell people off straight in the face if what they did simply irritates you
7. Pin point other people's shortcomings within yourself to assure you are not that lousy
8. Be sarcastic
9. Be generous in your praises
10. Give exaggerated verbal and facial expressions like giving a hard, cold stare .i.e. DIAO!
